European Hydrogen Week – a success!

October was an exciting rollercoaster for Hydrogen Europe, a month marked by many ‘first times’, accomplishments, and rewards.

We are still overwhelmed by the success of the European Hydrogen Week, which we had the pleasure to co-host with the European Commission and the Clean Hydrogen Partnership on 24-28.10.2022 at the Brussels Expo centre. Over 3200 stakeholders of the hydrogen community were brought together to witness more than 120 exhibitors and 150 speakers covering many elements of the sector’s value chain. We accomplished something that is a landmark for our sector and a new reference point when it comes to energy-related developments in Europe and globally. Thank you to all our exhibitors, speakers, and attendees, we look forward to seeing you again at next year’s edition on 20-24 November 2023.

The European Hydrogen Week also became the perfect stage to present a set of publications that our team developed during the last few months.

During Hydrogen Europe’s Autumn Market networking reception we presented “Heroes of Hydrogen“, a photo book that tells the story of heroes working to make hydrogen the foundation of climate neutrality. Courageous entrepreneurs are putting their business souls into the development of renewably produced hydrogen for many different applications.

Additionally, during the Expo, we published

  • the Clean Hydrogen Monitor 2022, our yearly report that aims to provide facts and figures on the current hydrogen market in Europe, the development of the clean hydrogen market, the industry’s ambitions, the policy and funding landscape, as well as the supply capacity of some critical raw materials.
  • our magazine, the Hydrogen Europe Quarterly Magazine, a new publication that will bring news and analysis on hydrogen issues.
  • the Pyrolysis paper, written in partnership with DVGW.

I conclude by thanking our members for the support and trust they have been reserving us without which nothing of what we accomplished would have been possible. I hope to see you all at our General Assembly and Winter Market Reception next November 30, where we will be able to celebrate this year’s achievements and set the bar higher for the year to come, driven by the ambition to unlock our industry’s potential in achieving climate neutrality.
